You can get a lawyer`s referral, learn about free legal services, and get answers to your questions about the law and the courts. The CJO`s legal services are free and you don`t need to be an existing HRA client to apply. The city`s Office of Civil Justice (OCJ), a unit of the Human Resources Administration (HRA), offers a range of free legal services to New Yorkers in need. If you are facing deportation, need help with immigration, are a worker facing wage theft or other workplace violations, or other legal challenges may have access to free legal aid through the CJO. A living will is a legal document created by a lawyer that sets out your health care instructions. This document may also appoint a health care representative to make health care decisions on your behalf.
