I didn`t intend to see Legally Romance (才不要和老板谈恋爱), but the many positive reviews online made me change my mind. The 2 male leads don`t really arouse my interest, which is why I decided to put it on the back burner first. But luckily my curiosity overwhelmed me and I took the plunge to see it. And I`m glad I did, because it`s surprisingly fun and interesting. It is sometimes the same with Chinese dramas. What you thought was good can be bad, and vice versa. Anyway, my review and judgment of Legally Romance is detailed in the lower half of this article. As usual, you can also check out the cast, synopsis, and ending. The bickering therefore looks very natural with a touch of fun and ribs. I`m not really a fan of arguing as a couple and dramas like About Is Love S2 and Hello Mr. Gu are not in my alley. But the couple arguing in Legally Romance feels different than usual. Their jokes are harmless because that`s how they usually communicate.
At the same time, they seem carefree to viewers, instead of giving the relationship a toxic atmosphere. Simply put, they seem stupid and perfect for each other. Legal Romance intersects smoothly until the last third of the drama, although it stops a bit for me. The execution of the action could be better. The second half also shows the commercial side of things. These are not detailed commercial or legal maneuvers, but very simplified to fit into the last 10 episodes. Rather, it is about rediscovering and maintaining the ideals of the practice of law for the male second count. Personally, I have nothing against both sides, because I think the story flows logically. Perhaps there should be more maturity in the romance and communication between the protagonists of the second part, now that they are adults. For me, I agree with this because I would prefer that they maintain the same relationship dynamic for the couple throughout the drama. In the real world, Chong Wen and Qian Wei had already been separating for 4 years when the drama began.

It`s just a shame that the producers couldn`t maintain a good execution of the plot until the end. I loved this drama! The comedy was on point and something different from the usual drama. A strong female lead, a male lead that was willing to compromise, and the two pairs of parents who are hilarious and different from the usual parents. I looked at this with Oath of Love and I have to say it was better. I was tired of YZ`s childish play, nothing more than Go Go Squid.
The viewing value of this drama is definitely a 10 for me! Enjoy watching the drama! Therefore, you need to give the couple time to grow on you, especially the male protagonist. You may not like him very much from the beginning and hope he changes his hairstyle, but he will show his caring side as the drama progresses to get you excited about him. I feel like this title is a bit different from the 2 other newer romantic dramas that are also highly rated, namely The Oath Of Love and Dine With Love. These are more serious stories with mature relationships grounded in reality. Legal Romance has an air of fantasy, with the protagonist having the chance to relive her past. So if you like more realistic stories, this is not the right thing to do. Legal Romance is one of the best Chinese romance dramas coming in 2022. It has its special charm and charismatic tracks. He couldn`t escape the clichés at times, but the overall plot is interesting and the main actors have a unique bickering relationship to make people laugh. Basically, the success of the drama depends on their performance and they have done a respectable job of enthusing viewers with their interactions.

For me, Song Zu Er fits well with Huang Zi Tao as an arguing couple. If you can feel the chemistry between them, then you will enjoy this drama because they go up together as a couple. Their witty banner and undeniable appeal are a pleasure to behold! The secondary characters are extremely sympathetic and well written. I highly recommend this drama.
